The original painting was hung in the Officer Mess of The Artist Rifles before being purchased by a Royal Berkshire Officer who donated it to the Regiment. It depicts the Berkshire Regiment in action at the Battle of Tofrek in the Sudan in 1885. It was this action that led to the Regiment being granted the title The Royal Berkshire Regiment. Please be aware that the glass is standard, not unbreakable. We are happy to post it to you, but you might consider buying the unframed print and arranging for framing.
